Look back and remember. My memories are linked to the grape, the vintage, my father’s small still for daily use, to the fascination it all had for me. Even so, things should have gone differently: my destiny was to be an accountant, but I wanted to change that.
When we feel the countryside within us we cannot but live with it; it’s an ancestral link that calls us every day. I think the most profound action is to listen to the countryside so that it makes us more aware of what we do. Your respect for nature has its reward, its strength and your labour combine in synergy to produce the grapes that will give you the wine.
Our vineyards have always been cultivated with respect for nature, and certified as biological agriculture since 1998. The main variety is Nosiola, the only historic native vine with white grapes in Trentino, producing after lengthy drying our Vino Santo Trentino.
Work in the vineyards is governed by the rhythm of the seasons: it all starts in spring when nature reawakens, summer with its explosion of vegetation and the preparation of the grapes to be harvested in the autumn, then concluding with the winter pause and rest. Period when energies all concentrate in the distillery, among the stills, to produce our finest grappa.
The decision to be a part of the Dolomitici was born of our common ideals and principles for a new style of wine-growing; done by real countrymen creating wines with the real soul of their land.
